About the role
Role Overview
As a Senior Test Automation Engineer (individual contributor), you will design and maintain scalable automated test suites and environments. You’ll partner with business and technical teams to ensure deliverables meet quality standards, and help guide other engineers on automation strategies, standards, and tooling.
What You Will Do
- Design, develop, and maintain automated test strategies, scripts, test cases/suites, and frameworks for:
- Functional, regression, API, UI, and integration testing
- Build and document reliable automation that works for you and other developers
- Improve automation processes and enforce automation quality standards to increase automation coverage
- Participate in Agile events to refine requirements, estimate, and deliver features
- Run and complete automated test suites and record results
- Potentially own framework components, CI/CD test stages, and/or the test strategy for a service/domain
- Document, track, and resolve defects found during automated execution
- Collaborate with developers to identify root causes and prevent recurrence
- Work effectively with developers, SMEs, QA peers, and business partners; communicate regularly with IT management
What You Bring (Requirements)
- 5+ years hands-on test automation experience, including:
- Building automation frameworks
- Creating test cases
- Contributing to enterprise product launches
- Strong automation skills across:
- Unit, API, end-to-end, regression, smoke, and performance testing
- Proficiency with tools such as:
- Pytest, Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, Postman
- Technical expertise in JavaScript, TypeScript, or Node.js (including API testing)
- DevOps and CI/CD experience, including familiarity with Azure DevOps deployments
- Effective collaboration and communication (e.g., Microsoft Teams) with technical and non-technical teams
- Highly organized, proactive, and ownership-driven; experience working in Agile
Preferred / Additional Information
- BA/BS in a related field (or equivalent experience)
Compensation
- $106,400 – $177,300 plus eligibility for an annual bonus program
