About the role
Role Overview
Sr. Software Engineer responsible for backend systems powering provider scheduling and telehealth capabilities. You’ll improve reliability, scalability, and performance across core platform workflows that support mental healthcare delivery.
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain scalable, reliable, high-performance backend systems (scheduling infrastructure and telehealth features)
- Build and maintain integrations with third-party services and internal workflows
- Participate across the software development lifecycle (planning through post-launch monitoring)
- Collaborate with engineering, product, and operations to solve complex technical challenges
- Drive improvements via refactoring legacy components and adopting modern architecture/design patterns
- Ensure security, data integrity, and performance standards are met
- Mentor peers and contribute to the team’s technical vision
Requirements
- 5+ years of professional software engineering experience
- Strong ability to design and deliver highly scalable, performant, and reliable systems
- Deep understanding of application architecture, API design, data modeling, security, and scaling
- Experience leading cross-functional initiatives across product/engineering/operations
- Excellent communication and stakeholder collaboration skills

- Node.js, TypeScript
- Kafka
- AWS (or equivalent cloud)
- Microservices
- Events and workflow-driven systems
- Migrating legacy systems to modern architectures
Location / Remote Policy
- 100% remote (U.S. only, excluding Hawaii)
