Sr Software Engineer, Mobile Apps/Flutter

Role Overview

Senior Software Engineer (Mobile Apps / Flutter) to architect, build, and operate high-impact mobile applications used across the enterprise. This hybrid role requires reporting to the Austin office at least three days per week (within a 50-minute radius of Round Rock or Temple, TX).

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain Flutter mobile applications using clean, scalable architectures
• Serve as a technical lead for mobile solutions, ensuring performance, reliability, and maintainability
• Integrate mobile apps with RESTful APIs and microservices built in Java and deployed on GCP
• Own solutions end-to-end: design, development, deployment, monitoring, and support
• Apply modern state management approaches and mobile performance optimization best practices
• Partner with backend, product, and platform teams in a microservices environment
• Lead CI/CD automation for mobile builds and releases
• Mentor engineers via code reviews, design sessions, and technical coaching

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience, including ownership of production mobile systems
• Strong experience building production Flutter apps at scale
• Expertise in mobile architecture, clean architecture patterns, and state management
• Experience integrating mobile apps with Java-based backend services and APIs
• Comfort working in cloud-native environments (preferably GCP)
• Solid understanding of CI/CD pipelines and cloud-integrated mobile development
• Strong problem-solving and an ownership mindset for performance and quality

Nice to Have

• Demonstrated influence over mobile engineering standards and scalable architectural decisions
• Experience with DevSecOps practices in a microservices environment

• Hybrid in Austin, TX: report to the office at least 3 days/week
