About the role

Role Overview

Lyra Health is seeking a Sr. Software Engineer to build and continuously improve backend services—especially Python and Java-based APIs—that power core product functionality. The role can be worked from Burlingame, CA (hybrid) or fully remote for candidates located within the United States.

Responsibilities

Create lasting impact by building and continuously improving Python and Java-based APIs
Design, develop, and deploy APIs that power core product functionality
Collaborate with Product Management, Data Science, and Behavioral Health partners
Follow software development best practices across all phases
Adhere to high quality and security standards

Requirements

BS in Computer Science or related technical field
6+ years building enterprise or consumer web applications (ideally Python or Java/Spring)
Experience developing and deploying multi-tenant web applications
Ability to build scalable REST APIs
Highly proactive, self-starter mindset
