Role Overview

Senior Software Engineer in Test responsible for designing and implementing automated (and manual) test cases to ensure software quality. You will collaborate with engineers and stakeholders on testing priorities, execute tests, report defects, and help ensure products meet requirements on schedule.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement automated and manual test cases
• Collaborate with software engineers and stakeholders to define and prioritize testing efforts
• Write clear test plans and test cases
• Execute tests and report results
• Reproduce, document, and report defects, partnering with engineers to drive fixes
• Stay current with emerging testing technologies and methodologies
• Participate in code reviews, focusing on testability and quality
• Ensure software meets customer requirements and delivery timelines
• Mentor and guide junior test engineers on best practices
• Maintain compliance with department knowledge requirements
• Leverage AI tooling to accelerate development activities (e.g., code generation, testing, documentation)

Requirements

• BS in Engineering or equivalent experience
• 4+ years in a related position
• Expert-level knowledge of AI-enhanced development tools (examples given: Cursor, GitHub Copilot, Claude Code)
• Programming experience with languages such as JavaScript, Java, or C# (or similar)
• Advanced knowledge of software testing methodologies
• Advanced experience with automated testing tools and frameworks
• Strong problem-solving and the ability to write clear, concise test plans/cases
• Intermediate communication skills and effective teamwork
