Role Overview

Senior Software Engineer (Sr. Software Engineer) at GoodRx, focused on building customer-facing web experiences. The role emphasizes effective use of AI tooling as a collaborator to increase velocity and quality.

Responsibilities

Solve complex customer experience problems across multiple surfaces and user journeys using frontend expertise.
Collaborate with web developers to design and evolve frontend frameworks, components, and services.
Design and implement scalable frontend architecture and patterns (stable, flexible, maintainable).
Define and influence coding standards and best practices.
Improve and maintain CI/CD pipelines and frontend developer workflows.
Write unit tests for new features and improve test coverage.
Participate in and drive code reviews.
Evaluate and introduce new technologies/frameworks via proofs of concept, assessing impact on performance, scalability, and developer productivity.
Lead complex feature development end-to-end from concept to launch.
Partner with backend engineers to design APIs supporting frontend functionality.
Mentor and support other engineers through technical guidance and knowledge sharing.
Translate ambiguous product requirements into scalable technical solutions.

Requirements

5+ years of software development experience shipping products at web scale.
Modern frontend experience with React and TypeScript, including state management patterns (e.g., Context, Redux).
Experience integrating with GraphQL and REST APIs.
Experience with Next.js, including SSR, SSG, and performance optimization.
Strong knowledge of frontend architecture, performance optimization, accessibility (a11y), and web standards.
Experience integrating third-party SDKs and APIs.
Mentoring experience and contributions to an engineering culture.
Strong remote collaboration skills with distributed teams.
Ability to multitask in a timeline-driven environment.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Nice to Have

Experience with Content Management Systems such as Contentful.
Experience with observability/monitoring tools such as Datadog.
