Role Overview

Senior Software Engineer at Versant Media to build and maintain customer-facing Golf applications for a B2B2C environment. The role focuses primarily on custom WordPress plugins and themes, with additional work across modern web and backend technologies.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain custom WordPress plugins and themes for Golf applications
• Build and improve customer-facing applications using Next.js and React
• Participate in mobile development using .NET 8
• Build and maintain backend services using Node.js and NestJS
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver strong user experiences
• Adapt quickly to new technologies and changing project requirements

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in frontend or full-stack software development
• Strong knowledge of software engineering best practices and design patterns
• Extensive experience with PHP and WordPress development
• Proficiency in TypeScript and modern JavaScript frameworks
• Hands-on experience with React and Next.js
• Ability to work across multiple technologies and platforms
• Collaborative mindset and willingness to share knowledge

Nice to Have

• Experience with relational and non-relational databases and RabbitMQ
• Familiarity with AI tools for coding/configuration
• Knowledge of architecture design principles
• Experience with GitHub Actions and AWS
• Exposure to large-scale consumer-facing web applications
• Experience in Agile/Scrum environments
• Mobile experience (preferably .NET MAUI)
• Knowledge of PCI compliance or other security-critical environments
• Comfort balancing short-term delivery with long-term architecture goals

Remote / Location

• Fully remote (work from a non-Versant worksite, commonly home)
• Possible up to 10% travel for onsite collaboration/meetings
• Final interview round may be conducted in person
