About the role
Role Overview
Allocate is seeking a Senior Software Engineer (Frontend) to help lay the technical foundation for its future products. The team is an AI-first engineering organization, using AI coding tools daily for development and review.
Responsibilities
- Build rich but simple user experiences for new products using modern web technologies
- Collaborate with the product team to iterate on designs and UX flows
- Deliver retail and admin portal features as part of an independent, cross-functional squad across the stack
- Create reusable, testable code to improve engineering maturity and efficiency
Requirements (Must Have)
- 5–10 years experience building web applications
- 3–5 years with Vue.js for frontend development
- 1–3 years with TypeScript
- Deliver frontend software that is correct, stable, and security compliant
- Strong autonomy and ownership; comfortable working with minimal supervision
- AI-first mindset and comfort using tools like Claude Code, Cursor, or Codex as part of daily workflow
- Proven experience shipping production code with AI agents; clear understanding of strengths/limitations
- Attention to detail and strong user experience instincts
- Experience working in a Git-based environment with standard work management tooling
- Basic understanding of common AWS services (e.g., S3, CloudFront) and how to apply them
- Entrepreneurial, action-oriented mindset in fast-paced environments
Nice to Have
- C# / .NET experience
- REST API development experience
- Experience with agentic workflows (async coding agents, MCP integrations, LLM tooling)
- Familiarity with CI pipelines
- DevOps experience (e.g., Terraform, ECS/EKS)
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science (or similar) or equivalent real-world experience
