Sr. Software Engineer, Developer Platform (Full-Stack)

Role Overview

Sr. Software Engineer, Developer Platform (Full-Stack) — build and scale developer platforms that power customer-facing experiences. Own architecture and technical direction across frontend and backend, improving reliability, scalability, and engineering efficiency in a collaborative remote environment.

Responsibilities

• Design, architect, and implement scalable full-stack solutions to improve performance, reliability, and UX
• Lead technical initiatives across frontend and backend; make architecture and technology investment decisions
• Build and maintain developer platforms/frameworks/services that help engineering teams deliver faster
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship, promoting coding standards, design patterns, and best practices
• Collaborate with Product, Design, Analytics, and Engineering to define requirements and validate solutions
• Support product discovery (technical feasibility, user needs, prototyping, experimentation)
• Advocate for platform improvements and engineering priorities across the organization
• Improve observability (monitoring, logging, alerting, performance tracking)
• Identify and resolve technical bottlenecks to enhance scalability, security, maintainability, and performance
• Break down complex initiatives into actionable tasks and drive execution across teams
• Establish/improve engineering workflows, including CI/CD, testing practices, and development tools
• Create and maintain technical documentation for architecture and development processes
• Conduct code reviews, lead knowledge sharing, and support continuous improvement
• Participate in technical interviews and assist with onboarding

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience delivering production applications
• 3+ years designing/developing/maintaining backend distributed systems
• 3+ years with microservice architectures and scalable service-based systems
• Strong full-stack expertise with TypeScript, including:
  • React (or similar frontend frameworks)
  • Node.js (or similar backend technologies)
• Experience building scalable platforms/frameworks/systems used by other engineering teams
• Strong software architecture and system design skills, including performance optimization
• Experience with Agile, CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and modern delivery practices
• Ability to manage complex priorities, make independent decisions, and operate in ambiguity
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
