Sr Software Engineer

Role overview

Senior Software Engineer in the Healthcare Workforce Solutions (HWS) group, helping shape and develop the Laudio product. You’ll report to the Sr Manager of Software Engineering and build a cloud-based platform in a fast-growing, globally distributed team.

Where you’ll work

• Primarily remote
• East Coast preferred for occasional in-person collaboration
• Early morning meetings required (e.g., 7 AM ET)
• Opportunity to travel to Nepal as needed

Responsibilities

• Architect scalable solutions: design, develop, and deploy highly available, performant, scalable software
• Hands-on full-stack development: contribute as a key individual contributor across the product
• Mentor: provide technical mentorship via code reviews and design discussions
• Innovate & improve: continuously enhance technology and operational processes
• Be glue across teams: feature development, code optimization, infrastructure improvements, and production troubleshooting

Requirements

• 5+ years of software engineering experience
• Ability to lead projects from ideation to implementation in an iterative agile environment
• Strong frontend experience building applications with React and TypeScript
• Solid experience building scalable distributed systems using microservices with Node.js and TypeScript
• Strong database skills: SQL performance tuning, schema design, relational database management
• Experience building cloud-native apps on AWS or Azure
• Strong foundations in modern practices: Agile, Scrum, CI/CD, test automation, feature flagging, and observability
• Ability to operate, monitor, and troubleshoot production systems under pressure
• Strong communication skills with stakeholders
• High school diploma/GED required; Bachelor’s preferred
