About the role

Role Overview

Sr Software Engineer (remote-first, US). Build core experiences for both bank administrators and bank customers, including user flows, APIs, and integrations with third-party services.

Responsibilities

Craft streamlined user flows and user-facing experiences
Build robust APIs and backend services
Integrate with third-party software such as Plaid and Sendgrid
Write clean, documented, well-tested code with a focus on long-term viability and performance
Emphasize error handling, logging, and edge cases for every service
Break down complex product asks into elegant solutions
Apply system design and advocate for architecture decisions using a tradeoff-based mindset
Provide technical guidance, suggestions, and code reviews to raise team quality

Requirements

6+ years professional experience with frontend technologies (JavaScript, React, Vue, etc.)
Experience with backend services (Node.js, NestJS)
Proficiency with REST APIs
Experience working in an Agile Scrum environment
Familiarity with Domain-Driven Design (DDD)
Familiarity with microservices architecture
Must be eligible to work in the US (no sponsorship)

Strong communication and comfort presenting/advocating for architecture
