Sr Software Development Engineer

Role Overview

Senior Software Development Engineer working across frontend and backend in a microservices environment. You will primarily build modern single-page applications with strong UI/UX quality, while also contributing to backend services and integrations.

Responsibilities

Frontend (Primary Focus)

• Architect, build, and maintain complex single-page applications using Vue.js and/or React with TypeScript
• Own UI/UX implementation for customer portals, operations dashboards, provisioning tools, and reporting interfaces
• Establish and enforce frontend standards (component architecture, state management, design systems, accessibility, automated testing)
• Collaborate with product stakeholders and UX designers to translate requirements into high-performance interfaces
• Implement responsive, accessible designs across modern browsers and devices

Backend & Integration

• Contribute to backend services in Go (Golang) within a microservices architecture
• Maintain and improve existing PHP application layers and support incremental modernization
• Design and consume REST and gRPC APIs to connect frontend apps to microservices, message brokers, and data stores
• Integrate with third-party systems, vendor APIs, and legacy platforms
• Participate in database schema design and query optimization across PostgreSQL, MariaDB, and Microsoft SQL Server

Engineering Excellence

• Improve CI/CD pipelines using GitLab CI for frontend and backend deployments
• Write and maintain unit, integration, and end-to-end tests
• Conduct code reviews and mentor junior engineers
• Contribute to architecture decisions, technical documentation, and engineering runbooks

Requirements

• 7+ years professional software development; at least 3 years frontend/UI focused
• Deep proficiency in JavaScript and TypeScript
• Production experience with Vue.js (Vue 3 / Composition API preferred) and/or React
• Strong CSS/HTML5 and responsive design skills (CSS Grid, Flexbox, design systems, accessibility)
• Hands-on backend experience in Go (preferred) or PHP
• Experience building/consuming REST APIs in enterprise/SaaS with authentication/authorization patterns (e.g., OAuth2, SSO)
• Experience with relational databases: PostgreSQL, MariaDB, Microsoft SQL Server (schema design + performance tuning)
