Sr Software Development Engineer

Role Overview

Senior Software Development Engineer working on high-impact web applications for both enterprise-facing platforms and internal operations tooling. Primary emphasis on frontend development, with meaningful contributions to backend microservices.

Responsibilities

Frontend (primary)

• Architect, build, and maintain complex single-page applications using Vue.js and/or React with TypeScript
• Own UI/UX implementation for customer portals, operations dashboards, provisioning tools, and reporting interfaces
• Define and enforce frontend engineering standards (component architecture, state management patterns, design systems, accessibility, automated testing)
• Collaborate with product stakeholders and UX designers to deliver intuitive, high-performance UIs
• Implement responsive, accessible designs that perform reliably across browsers/devices

Backend & Integration

• Extend backend services in Go (Golang) within a microservices architecture
• Maintain and improve PHP application layers and support incremental modernization
• Design and consume RESTful and gRPC APIs to connect frontends to microservices, message brokers, and data stores
• Integrate with third-party systems, vendor APIs, and legacy platforms
• Participate in database schema design and query optimization across PostgreSQL, MariaDB, and Microsoft SQL Server

Engineering Excellence

• Improve CI/CD pipelines for frontend and backend deployments using GitLab CI
• Write and maintain unit, integration, and end-to-end tests
• Conduct code reviews and mentor junior engineers on frontend best practices
• Contribute to architectural decisions, technical documentation, and engineering runbooks
• Evaluate and adopt modern tooling/frameworks to improve productivity and code quality

Requirements

• 7+ years professional software development experience; 3+ years frontend/UI focused
• Deep proficiency in JavaScript and TypeScript
• Production experience with Vue.js (Vue 3 / Composition API preferred) and/or React
• Strong HTML5/CSS and responsive design skills (CSS Grid, Flexbox, design systems)
• Hands-on backend experience with Go (preferred) or PHP
• Experience building/consuming RESTful APIs; understanding auth patterns (OAuth2, SSO)
• Relational database experience (PostgreSQL, MariaDB, Microsoft SQL Server) including performance tuning
• Familiarity with microservices architecture patterns
