Role Overview

Sr. Scrum Master / Project Manager (remote, United States)

Lead Agile transformation and delivery excellence across multiple engineering teams. You will combine hands-on Scrum execution with strategic program management—coaching teams, improving delivery predictability, and strengthening the alignment between Product and Engineering.

Responsibilities

• Establish and evolve Agile standards across engineering teams (Scrum ceremonies, workflows, delivery standards, escalation processes).
• Lead Agile program practices across multiple teams; maintain consistent Scrum execution.
• Coach and support Scrum Masters to improve facilitation, Agile maturity, and team effectiveness.
• Act as Scrum Master for assigned teams: ceremonies, backlog health, sprint execution, and removing delivery obstacles.
• Own and evolve an Agile Development Metrics & Quality Accountability Framework using Jira and GitHub data.
• Build dashboards/reports for delivery and quality, including:
  • delivery performance, sprint predictability
  • cycle time, throughput
  • work in progress (WIP)
  • quality trends and defect management
• Establish practices for code review quality, defect tracking, accountability reporting, and continuous improvement.
• Partner with Product Management and Product Owners to translate roadmaps into actionable Agile execution plans.
• Facilitate scaled Agile activities (cross-team coordination, dependencies, planning sessions, delivery health reviews).
• Identify process improvements, including use of AI-assisted engineering tools and operational efficiency opportunities.
• Communicate delivery risks and quality trends clearly to technical and business stakeholders.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent professional experience).
• 5+ years in a Scrum Master / Agile Project Manager-type role in software development.
• Experience coaching Scrum Masters and/or leading Agile practices across multiple concurrent teams.
• Strong knowledge of Agile frameworks such as Scrum, SAFe, Scrum@Scale or similar scaled delivery methodologies.
• Experience bridging Product Management/Product Owners and Engineering.
• Hands-on administration of Jira (workflows, sprint configuration, boards, Agile reporting).
• Familiarity with GitHub pull request workflows, branch protection, and Jira-GitHub integrations.
• Ability to design and implement delivery metrics and quality measurement frameworks.
• Data analysis skills to turn operational insights into actionable improvements.
• Familiarity with AI-assisted engineering tools and modern delivery workflows.
• Strong communication, facilitation, and coaching skills.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience implementing Jira-GitHub integrations and advanced delivery/quality dashboards.
• Experience using AI-assisted engineering tools as part of delivery process improvement.
