About the role

Role Overview

Sr. QA Test Engineer responsible for end-to-end software quality control across the SDLC. You will design and scale test automation frameworks, plan and execute QA strategy, and collaborate with product, engineering, and DevOps teams to improve delivery quality.

Responsibilities

Create QA testing and automation plans, estimates, and project plans
Partner with Product Owners to plan and create test cases and scenarios
Guide, coach, and mentor junior QA engineers
Work with Product Owners, DevOps, and Software Engineers to create a continuous delivery process
Design and implement comprehensive test automation frameworks and strategies for:
- Web applications
- REST APIs
- Data pipelines
Build and maintain automated test suites using modern frameworks (e.g., Playwright, Selenium, Pytest)
Develop automated tests for REST APIs, microservices, and event-driven architectures
Create performance and load testing solutions to validate scalability
Implement automated security and compliance testing for PHI data handling
Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps)
Drive continuous improvement in test coverage, effectiveness, standards, patterns, and best practices
Lead initiatives to improve test infrastructure and tooling
Conduct code reviews for test automation code
Provide automation coverage metrics and reporting

Requirements (Minimum Qualifications)

BS in Computer Science/Software Engineering (or equivalent experience)
10+ years of software testing and QA experience
Competency in Scrum (or other agile/iterative processes)
Experience with Selenium, C#, Azure, API testing, and performance testing
Strong analytical skills and ability to work with business data
Ability to deliver effective documentation and communicate clearly
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Ability to work independently and collaborate across departments

Nice to Have

Experience with Playwright, Pytest, and modern automated testing tooling
Experience with CI/CD test automation and event-driven architecture testing
