Role overview
Pinterest is hiring a Senior Product Manager, Core Saving Experience. You will lead the end-to-end product experience for how people save, build, and organize boards across Pinterest’s core surfaces, including AI-powered saving and curation.
Responsibilities
- Own product strategy and roadmap for the Core Saving Experience, covering:
- New user saving
- Ongoing saving
- Adjacent organizing actions across key Pinterest surfaces
- Drive strategy to improve early outcomes and habits:
- First-session save conversion
- Early repeat saves
- Early board creation
- Own product strategy for new and sparse boards so users quickly see value even with little content.
- Use data, research, and experimentation to understand saving/organizing behaviors and translate insights into simple, high-impact product flows.
- Run an experiment-driven roadmap to:
- Reduce friction in save flows
- Improve save quality
- Grow downstream engagement
- Partner with AI/ML teams to design and ship AI-powered features such as:
- Intelligent organization
- Summarization
- Planning helpers
- Use AI to accelerate analysis/ideation/iteration while applying judgment and verification to ensure correctness and quality.
Requirements
- Experience building and scaling consumer products, especially in activation, engagement, or retention funnels.
- Strong product sense and user empathy; experience shipping high-impact, user-facing features on core surfaces (e.g., saving/collecting/feeds).
- Ability to define product strategies, set goals/metrics, and run experiment-driven roadmaps tied to business outcomes.
- Data-driven mindset:
- Partnering with data science
- Instrumenting metrics
- Interpreting A/B tests
- Making evidence-based tradeoffs
- Demonstrated ability to use AI to improve day-to-day speed and quality, with a track record of evaluating/verifying AI-assisted work for accuracy.
- High integrity and ownership: protect sensitive data, avoid over-reliance on AI, and remain accountable for final decisions.
- Excellent cross-functional leadership and communication across Engineering, Design, Research, and partners.
- Bachelor’s degree (CS/Engineering/Design/Data/Business) or equivalent experience.
