Responsibilities
- Lead hands-on OpenShift administration: cluster buildout, maintenance, and support in on-prem (VMware-based) environments
- Design and deploy Kubernetes/OpenShift clusters as target-state platforms for data center consolidation
- Own day-to-day platform operations: incident resolution, patching, upgrades, and performance optimization
- Deploy/manage platform components using Helm and Argo CD, including troubleshooting and debugging deployments
- Collaborate with application and infrastructure teams to onboard workloads and implement platform enhancements
- Drive platform standardization and automation using GitLab/Azure DevOps pipelines and scripting
- Support the transition away from Rancher toward a fully OpenShift-based Kubernetes environment

Required Qualifications
- 6–10 years experience as a Senior Engineer in infrastructure or DevOps roles
- Strong hands-on experience with Kubernetes platforms, including Rancher and OpenShift
- Proficient with Kubernetes CLI tooling: kubectl, oc, etc.
- Scripting experience for operational tasks
- Experience with Helm and Argo CD
- Ability to troubleshoot/optimize/support Kubernetes clusters in on-prem and cloud contexts
- Strong communication and collaboration skills across app and infra teams
Preferred Qualifications
- Terraform or other infrastructure-as-code experience
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipeline tooling and deployment automation
- Exposure to observability/monitoring tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana)
