Sr Manager Software Development

Role Overview

Senior leadership position for a Sr Manager, Software Development based in the United States (fully remote). You will lead multiple development teams to deliver high-quality, scalable software products for the healthcare industry, combining people leadership with technical and strategic oversight.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage multiple software development teams to ensure delivery of reliable, high-performing solutions
• Provide coaching, mentorship, and performance management; foster a culture of accountability and growth
• Drive Agile execution (sprint planning, backlog management, retrospectives, and continuous improvement)
• Ensure timely, high-quality releases aligned with product roadmaps and business priorities
• Guide teams on application architecture, system design, integration patterns, and modern engineering practices
• Collaborate with architects, senior engineers, product leaders, and operations to maintain technical consistency
• Align solutions with healthcare requirements, regulatory standards, and Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) workflows
• Communicate status, risks, priorities, and recommendations to senior leadership and stakeholders
• Oversee resource planning, team capacity management, and staffing to meet delivery commitments
• Promote cross-functional collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in CS/Software Engineering/IT (or equivalent experience)
• 8+ years in software development/engineering or related technical roles
• 3+ years managing multiple software development teams and leading technical professionals
• Strong understanding of modern application development, APIs, software architecture, and engineering best practices
• Experience with healthcare technology platforms and/or RCM (Revenue Cycle Management) solutions
• Solid knowledge of Agile and delivery management / SDLC processes
• Ability to explain technical concepts to executive and non-technical stakeholders
• Experience operating in regulated environments with a focus on compliance, data integrity, and reliability
• Strong leadership, communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without visa sponsorship
