About the role
Role Overview
Sr. Manager, Business Development (North America) — Remote at Intertek (Hardlines). You will develop new business opportunities and grow existing client relationships across the Global Hardlines market in North America, with a focus on meeting or exceeding revenue targets and influencing margins.
Responsibilities
- Prospect, identify, and develop new business opportunities in Intertek Global Hardlines (typically retailers and brands)
- Partner with existing and new Tier 1 clients to support current portfolios and win new work
- Manage and expand relationships with existing clients to maximize sales opportunities
- Network to identify and meet prospective clients (including trade shows and association events)
- Conduct market research and tailor customer-specific sales presentations to emerging industry trends
- Complete RFIs/RFPs for potential clients
- Use business performance metrics to recommend actions that improve revenue and profitability
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Hardlines, Softlines, and other business lines to expand offerings (including ATIC)
- Create and execute strategic account plans for key account growth
Requirements
- 5+ years of successful sales experience in a relevant industry
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Current, valid driver’s license and reliable driving record
- Ability to travel frequently within North America; occasional international travel may be required (infrequent)
Nice to Have
- Strong experience with retailer/brand business development and partnering with Tier 1 clients
Compensation & Benefits
- Base salary range: $85,000–$100,000 plus sales incentives
