Sr. Kubernetes Openshift Engineer

Role Overview

Optomi (in partnership with a leader in the financial industry) is seeking an experienced Sr. Kubernetes OpenShift Engineer to provide hands-on operational support for Kubernetes platforms. The role is fully remote with EST hours.

Responsibilities

• Onboard quickly and contribute to active projects.
• Provide hands-on support for Kubernetes environments, primarily Rancher and OpenShift.
• Collaborate with application teams and infrastructure teams.
• Use Kubernetes CLI and write scripts to support operations.
• Navigate and work from existing documentation to ramp up quickly.

Requirements

• Strong experience with Kubernetes, especially Rancher and OpenShift.
• Experience supporting Kubernetes environments operationally.
• Solid scripting skills using Kubernetes command line.
• Familiarity with VMware environments.
• Exposure to monitoring tools.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

Nice to Have

• Experience with CI/CD pipelines.
• Terraform knowledge.
