Sr. Java developer

Role Overview

Sr. Java Developer to help build and optimize core backend systems in a modern cloud-driven environment. You will work on scalable, high-performance applications supporting both real-time and batch data processing, collaborating with cross-functional teams in an Agile setup.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and enhance core backend systems (including origination platforms and batch processing services)
• Design and implement scalable, high-performance features focused on reliability and efficiency
• Build and improve real-time and batch data processing pipelines
• Integrate external and internal services via APIs and SDKs
• Maintain high code quality with unit, integration, and functional testing
• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and support automated deployments
• Participate in technical discussions, architecture decisions, and engineering best practices
• Mentor junior developers and support team knowledge sharing

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of software development experience in the JVM ecosystem with strong Java and/or Scala
• Solid knowledge of software engineering principles, design patterns, and system architecture
• Experience with unit, integration, and functional testing methodologies
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions)
• Proven ability to work with APIs/SDK integrations and distributed systems
• Familiarity with Agile and tools like Git and Jira
• Cloud experience (certifications are a plus)
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/Engineering or equivalent experience

Preferred / Nice to Have

• AWS services (ECS, S3, EC2, Lambda)
• Infrastructure as Code (Terraform)
• Big data tools (Spark, Databricks, EMR)
• Spring Boot, Redis, Snowflake, and Airflow (or similar workflow tools)
