About the role
Role Overview
Senior Cloud Infrastructure Engineer responsible for designing, building, and operating enterprise-scale cloud infrastructure. The role emphasizes Google Cloud Platform (GCP) expertise with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform), and includes supporting a multi-cloud environment spanning GCP, Azure, and private/on-prem.
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain scalable infrastructure on GCP
- Develop and manage infrastructure using Terraform
- Support and manage GKE clusters (networking, QoS, scaling)
- Implement and manage:
- VPCs and DNS / networking configurations
- TLS and security configurations
- BigQuery environments
- Cloud Composer workflows
- Support Azure infrastructure components, including:
- Compute
- Storage accounts
- Virtual Networks (VNets)
- Active-active DR posture
- Contribute to GitOps-based deployment pipelines using Harness
- Participate in an on-call rotation (described as low incident volume)
- Document systems and mentor team members
- Partner with architecture and application teams while owning the infrastructure layer
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience
- Strong hands-on expertise in Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
- Advanced Terraform (Infrastructure as Code)
- Experience with GKE, including Kubernetes concepts such as QoS
- Experience with GCP services including BigQuery, Cloud Composer, Networking & DNS, and Security/TLS
- Working knowledge of Azure infrastructure
- Experience in multi-cloud or hybrid cloud environments
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with GitOps workflows
- Exposure to Harness or similar CI/CD automation platforms
- Azure infrastructure automation experience
- Kubernetes certification or relevant cloud certifications (nice to have)
