Role Overview

Senior Frontend Software Engineer (Fully Remote)

• Work mostly East Coast/Central hours.
• Build high-quality web experiences and advance frontend architecture for CMS-driven websites.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain modern, responsive web applications and CMS-based websites.
• Create accessible, secure, high-performing user experiences using JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML, and CSS.
• Manage and enhance CMS platforms, including custom themes, modules, and plugins.
• Apply SEO best practices, ensure analytics tracking, and support privacy compliance.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ship features and improve user engagement.
• Maintain quality via testing, code reviews, and CI/CD best practices.
• Improve platform performance, reliability, monitoring, and scalability.
• Provide technical leadership, mentor engineers, and influence architectural decisions.

Requirements

• 7+ years software development experience with strong frontend focus.
• 5+ years with JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML, and CSS.
• React experience preferred.
• Experience with Drupal and/or WordPress development and administration.
• Working knowledge of PHP; Python or Golang is a plus.
• Experience with SEO, web analytics, and performance optimization.
• Familiarity with Varnish, Solr, Git, CI/CD, Docker, and Kubernetes.
• Cloud experience, preferably AWS.
• Strong knowledge of testing, security, accessibility, and modern web development practices.

Preferred

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience).
• Linux experience.
• Comfort working in a remote environment.

Location / Work Authorization

• Fully remote, working mostly East Coast/Central hours.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Compensation & Benefits

• Compensation up to $185,000+ depending on location, experience, and skills.
