Sr. Frontend Software Developer

Role Overview

Senior Frontend Software Developer for Cydecor’s MARS Infrastructure Team in Reston, VA. You’ll work within an Agile team to build modern, secure frontend solutions, with an understanding of backend services and data sources.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deliver modern secure software applications for the intel mission
• Troubleshoot defects, identify root causes, and implement prevention mechanisms
• Maintain software and publish regular updates to address customer and company needs
• Analyze and test programs/products prior to formal launch
• Collaborate with teammates to determine best practices and client requirements
• Break down and estimate development tasks; coordinate work with other developers
• Coach and support other team members to improve collaboration
• Enhance software security by actively monitoring sharing of private information
• Improve software processes and interactions
• Support grooming of user stories, task breakdown, and effort estimation

Requirements

• 6+ years of experience as a Software Engineer building distributed software applications with modern/open-source technologies
• Frontend experience with JavaScript, TypeScript, Vue (plus React and/or Angular experience)
• Experience with Linux, Git, Jira, Confluence, and Artifactory
• Experience with: ESLint, Vuetify, Vue Composition, Vue Router, Pinia, TanStack, Axios, VitePress, and/or TypeDoc
• Strong experience developing frontend microservices
• Strong knowledge of API best practices
• Data modeling experience with relational and NoSQL databases
• Agile development experience (end-to-end lifecycle including automated tests and deployment)
• Ability to develop secure systems aligned to industry specifications
• Excellent collaboration and communication skills

Bonus Points

• Experience supporting DoD and/or IC
• Frontend unit testing experience (Jest, Vitest, Jasmine)
• Experience with Python and/or Java
• Experience with Webpack 5, Vite, Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift, Jenkins, Keycloak, OAuth2, and JWT
• Cloud experience (AWS services and/or Azure)
• Security/code quality tools (SonarQube, OWASP ZAP, Fortify)
• Experience delivering via CI/CD and DevOps model
• Experience with security clearance workflows (active Top Secret / ability to upgrade)

• Security Clearance: Active Top Secret (must be able to upgrade to TS/SCI with CI Poly)

• Work Schedule: Hybrid; telework optional with mandatory onsite days during implementation/testing
• Location: Must live within commuting distance of Reston
