About the role

Role overview

Senior Frontend / Full-Stack Engineer for Hopper Technology Solutions (HTS) — Stays & Packages. You’ll help shape and scale booking flows and search/checkout experiences for hotels and bundled travel across partner portals.

What you’ll do

Work with a strong engineering group in a low-process, trust-and-autonomy environment
Drive product and technical decisions through asynchronous consensus and clear documentation
Build features end-to-end, from UX to database
Design scalable front-end solutions that enable efficient onboarding of new portals
Collaborate with PMs and business partners to define and refine the roadmap
Partner cross-functionally and iterate based on feedback

Requirements

Deep expertise in React with modern patterns (functional components, hooks)
Strong TypeScript experience building and maintaining enterprise-scale applications
Advanced CSS skills (Tailwind, SCSS, CSS-in-JS, animations, browser quirks)
Proficiency with modern frontend tooling, including:
- React Query / TanStack ecosystem
- Tailwind or design-token-based styling
- Modern build tools such as Vite
Experience working in monorepos (e.g., Turbo, Nx, pnpm workspaces) is a plus
Solid frontend architecture fundamentals: performance, accessibility, responsive design, testing, maintainability
Experience optimizing performance (lazy loading, code-splitting, caching, Lighthouse)
Experience with complex product flows (e-commerce, travel, marketplace, fintech)
Ability to balance shipping product work with long-term platform thinking in multi-brand/white-label environments
Familiarity with SSR and static site generation (e.g., Next.js) for SEO-friendly experiences
Strong testing mindset: know what to test and what test types matter in frontend
