About the role

Role Overview

Senior Frontend / Full-Stack Engineer for Hopper Technology Solutions (HTS) in the Stays & Packages team. You’ll help build booking flows and user experiences for accommodations and bundled travel (hotels, alternative stays, and packages such as flights + cars + lodging) across multiple partner portals.

Responsibilities

Work with a top-tier engineering team in a low-process environment emphasizing trust and autonomy
Drive product/platform decisions and build consensus through asynchronous documentation
Ship end-to-end features from UX to database
Build scalable, maintainable front-end solutions to efficiently launch new portals
Collaborate with PMs and business partners to define and refine the roadmap
Ensure performance, usability, and long-term maintainability while scaling experiences across partners
Contribute cross-functionally and give/receive feedback for continuous growth

Requirements

Deep expertise in React with modern functional patterns:
- Hooks and performance optimizations
- Server-side rendering (SSR), hydration
- Advanced state management
Strong TypeScript experience in enterprise-scale applications
Advanced CSS skills (Tailwind, SCSS, CSS-in-JS, animations, browser quirks)
Familiarity with modern frontend tooling, including:
- React Query / TanStack ecosystem
- Tailwind or design-token-based styling
- Build tools such as Vite
Experience with monorepos (e.g., Turbo, Nx, pnpm workspaces) is a plus
Solid frontend fundamentals: performance, accessibility, responsive design, testing, and maintainability
Experience optimizing frontend performance (lazy loading, code-splitting, caching, Lighthouse, etc.)
Experience with complex product flows (e-commerce, travel, marketplaces, fintech)
Ability to balance fast shipping with long-term platform thinking in multi-brand/white-label setups
Testing mindset: writing testable code and knowing what to test

Nice to Have

SSR/static generation experience (e.g., Next.js) for SEO-friendly experiences
Experience in travel/marketplace fintech domains
