Sr Front-end Engineer - HTS Stays & Packages (100% Remote - USA)

Role overview

Senior Frontend / Full-Stack Engineer for Hopper Technology Solutions (HTS) focusing on the Stays & Packages platform: booking flows, search experiences, checkout journeys, and platform capabilities for hotels, alternative stays, and bundled packages (e.g., flights + lodging + cars).

What you’ll do

• Work in a low-process, trust-and-autonomy environment with a top-tier engineering team.
• Ship new features end-to-end from UX to database.
• Build scalable front-end solutions to efficiently launch new portals.
• Collaborate with PMs and business partners to define and refine the roadmap.
• Drive decisions and consensus asynchronously with strong documentation.
• Optimize for performance, usability, and long-term maintainability across multi-tenant / multi-brand (white-label) experiences.

What you bring

• Deep expertise in React with modern patterns: functional components, hooks, performance optimizations, SSR/hydration, and advanced state management.
• Strong TypeScript experience with enterprise-scale applications.
• Advanced CSS skills: Tailwind, SCSS, CSS-in-JS, animations, and cross-browser quirks.
• Frontend tooling experience such as React Query / TanStack ecosystem, design-token styling, and modern build tools like Vite.
• Experience with monorepos (e.g., Turbo, Nx, pnpm workspaces) is a plus.
• Solid frontend architecture fundamentals: performance, accessibility, responsive design, testing, maintainability.
• Proven frontend performance optimization: lazy loading, code-splitting, caching, and Lighthouse improvements.
• Experience with complex product flows (e-commerce, travel, marketplaces, fintech).
• Ability to balance fast feature delivery with long-term platform thinking in multi-brand environments.
• Familiarity with SSR/SSG (e.g., Next.js) for SEO-friendly experiences.
• A strong habit of writing testable code (knowing what to test and which test types matter).

• SSR/SSG experience beyond baseline.
• Monorepo tooling experience (Turbo/Nx/pnpm workspaces).
