Sr Front-end Engineer - HTS Stays & Packages (100% Remote - USA)

Role overview

Senior Frontend / Full-Stack Engineer for Hopper Technology Solutions (HTS) working on the Stays & Packages team. You’ll help shape how lodging and bundled travel booking experiences scale across partner portals, focusing on performance, usability, and maintainability.

Responsibilities

• Work with a top-tier engineering team in a low-process, trust-and-autonomy environment
• Make decisions and drive consensus using asynchronous documentation
• Ship features end-to-end: from UX through to implementation (including data)
• Architect scalable frontend solutions that enable efficient launch of new portals
• Partner with PMs and business partners to define and refine the roadmap
• Collaborate cross-functionally and incorporate feedback for continuous improvement

Requirements

• Deep expertise in React with modern patterns (functional components, hooks)
• Strong TypeScript experience for enterprise-scale applications
• Advanced CSS skills (Tailwind, SCSS, CSS-in-JS, animations, cross-browser quirks)
• Proficiency with modern frontend tooling (e.g., React Query / TanStack ecosystem, Vite)
• Experience with monorepos (e.g., Turbo, Nx, pnpm workspaces) is a plus
• Solid frontend fundamentals: performance, accessibility, responsive design, testing, maintainability
• Experience optimizing performance (lazy loading, code-splitting, caching, Lighthouse)
• Familiarity with complex product flows (e-commerce/travel/marketplace/fintech)
• Ability to balance shipping with long-term platform thinking in multi-brand/white-label environments
• Familiarity with SSR/SSG (e.g., Next.js) for SEO-friendly experiences
• Commitment to writing testable code and knowing what to test
