Role overview

Sr. Flutter Developer — act as an innovation engineer building and scaling next-generation mobile experiences. You will turn ambiguous ideas into validated, high-impact solutions by balancing rapid experimentation with long-term platform stability, scalability, and maintainability.

Responsibilities

• Discovery, Framing & Experimentation
  • Partner with product, engineering, data, and business collaborators to frame problems (not just implement requirements).
  • Translate loosely defined ideas into hypotheses, experiments, and technical prototypes.
  • Lead/chip in on discovery sprints, feasibility studies, and technical spikes.
  • Challenge assumptions and propose alternative mobile experiences and architectures.
• Prototyping & Validation
  • Build rapid throwaway and evolutionary prototypes to test user value and feasibility.
  • Instrument prototypes with analytics to measure adoption, performance, and learning outcomes.
  • Run controlled experiments where appropriate (e.g., feature flags, pilots, A/B tests).
  • Make tradeoffs between speed, quality, scalability, and learning.
• Mobile Architecture & Platform Thinking
  • Influence mobile architecture decisions, frameworks, SDKs, and integration patterns.
  • Balance innovation velocity with maintainability and platform evolution.
  • Collaborate on API contracts, data models, and service boundaries.
• Engineering Excellence
  • Write clean, efficient, maintainable mobile code aligned with platform guidelines.
  • Deliver secure, performant, and accessible experiences.
  • Optimize for memory, battery, startup time, and responsiveness.
  • Apply mobile security practices (e.g., authentication, encryption, data protection).
• Teamwork & Influence
  • Collaborate with UX, backend, data, and product teams.
  • Provide technical mentorship and architectural guidance.
  • Communicate technical ideas clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
• Operational Enablement
  • Advise on mobile DevOps: CI/CD, automated testing, and release strategies.
  • Document architectures, experiments, findings, and technical decisions.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional mobile development experience.
• Proven experience across both exploration (early-stage) and exploitation (scaled delivery).
• Native mobile experience: Swift/SwiftUI (iOS) and/or Kotlin (Android).
• Cross-platform experience: Flutter (or React Native/similar).
• Mobile architecture/design patterns: MVVM, MVC, Clean Architecture.
• API integration, mobile networking, and data synchronization.
• Strong lifecycle, memory, diagnostics, and performance optimization knowledge.
• Ability to work effectively with incomplete/evolving requirements.
• Strong problem-framing and systems-thinking skills.
