Sr. Engineer, Development Operations - Archimedes

Role Overview

Sr. Engineer, Development Operations (Archimedes) is a technical leadership role responsible for architecting and advancing the organization’s cloud platform. You will drive Azure-first platform engineering with Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC), CI/CD, DevSecOps, and automation across application, infrastructure, data, analytics, machine learning, and integration platforms.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a senior technical authority for DevOps/Platform Engineering, IaC, CI/CD, DataOps, MLOps, and cloud automation.
• Define and maintain enterprise standards, reference architectures, reusable platform patterns, and governance frameworks for Azure delivery pipelines.
• Provide strategic technical leadership to enable secure, scalable, highly available, and cost-effective solutions.
• Lead modernization initiatives and create reusable automation frameworks that improve software delivery velocity.
• Ensure alignment with enterprise architecture, cybersecurity, compliance, and operational best practices.
• Partner with engineering, data, analytics, security, infrastructure, architecture, and business stakeholders to deliver:
  • Enterprise-scale automation and interoperability
  • Observability and resiliency
  • Platform maturity and intelligent automation

Requirements (from posting)

• Expertise in cloud-native architecture and platform engineering.
• Strong command of Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) and CI/CD practices.
• Experience with Azure-based application/infrastructure/data/analytics/ML and enterprise integration capabilities.
• Subject matter expertise in Kubernetes, enterprise integrations, and API enablement.
• Ability to mentor engineers and drive governance controls and operational best practices.

• Experience with DevSecOps, enterprise observability, and data platform automation.
• Background in MLOps and intelligent automation solutions.
