Sr. Digital Developer

Role Overview

As a Sr. Digital Developer at the American Heart Association, you will design, develop, and modify web applications and integration software supporting the organization’s digital fundraising assets across its businesses. You will work through the full development lifecycle, from gathering requirements to testing and remediating defects through delivery to end users.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain web applications and integration software.
• Gather requirements and collaborate on solution/application architecture and development standards.
• Perform unit and integrated testing; support UAT and defect remediation.
• Manage incoming tickets/defects: debug, triage, escalate, and communicate status to stakeholders/customers.
• Support clarifying and refining business requirements.
• Create estimations based on requirements and functional specs.
• Provide coordination, production support, and project support.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of relevant experience.
• Experience with React, Ionic React, Nest.js, and TypeScript.
• Experience with ticketing systems and troubleshooting web application defects using in-browser debugging tools.
• Experience with Visual Studio Team Services (VSTS)/Azure DevOps or similar project tracking tools.
• Customer-service minded with excellent communication and strong problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Azure.
• Experience with Microsoft .NET full-stack and related technologies.
• Experience with Angular or another JavaScript framework.
• Experience with Express.js, Redis, and PostgreSQL.

Compensation

• $115,000–$125,000 base pay (commensurate with experience; geographic differentials may apply).
