About the role

Role Overview

The American Heart Association is hiring a Sr. Digital Developer responsible for designing, developing, and modifying web applications and integration software to support digital fundraising assets across its businesses.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain web applications using React, Ionic React, Nest.js, and TypeScript (familiarity with Microsoft .NET and Web API is a plus)
  • Build software artifacts based on requirements, solution/application architecture, and development standards
  • Perform unit and integrated testing; support UAT and defect remediation
  • Handle incoming tickets/defects: preliminary debugging, triage, escalation, and customer/status communication
  • Clarify and refine business requirements
  • Provide estimations based on requirements and functional specs
  • Coordinate with teams to provide production and project support

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years of relevant experience
  • Experience with React, Ionic React, Nest.js, TypeScript
  • Experience with ticketing systems, troubleshooting web app defects, and debugging with in-browser tools
  • Experience with Visual Studio Team Services (VSTS) / Azure DevOps or similar project tracking tools
  • Customer-service minded with excellent communication
  • Solutions-oriented with strong problem-solving skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Microsoft Azure
  • Experience with Microsoft .NET full-stack development
  • Angular (or another JS framework) experience
  • Experience with Express.js, Redis cache, and PostgreSQL

Compensation

  • Expected pay range: $115,000 – $125,000 (commensurate with experience; geographic differentials may apply).
