About the role
Role Overview
Sr. Digital Developer responsible for designing, developing, and modifying web applications and integration software supporting the American Heart Association’s digital fundraising assets.
Responsibilities
- Gather requirements and help clarify/refine business requirements
- Design and build software artifacts based on solution/application architecture and development standards
- Develop and maintain web applications using technologies such as:
- React
- Ionic React
- Nest.js
- TypeScript
- Perform unit and integrated testing, support user acceptance testing, and remediate defects
- Manage incoming tickets/defects: preliminary debugging, triage, escalation, and customer status communication
- Provide estimations based on requirements and functional specifications
- Coordinate production and project support
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
- 5+ years of relevant experience
- Experience with React, Ionic React, Nest.js, and TypeScript
- Troubleshooting and debugging web application defects using in-browser tools
- Experience with ticketing systems
- Experience with Visual Studio Team Services (VSTS)/Azure DevOps or similar project tracking tools
- Customer-service mindset with excellent communication skills
- Solutions-oriented, strong problem-solving skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Azure
- Full-stack development experience using Microsoft .NET and related technologies (including Web APIs)
- Experience with Angular or another JavaScript framework
- Express.js, Redis, PostgreSQL
