Sr. DevOps AWS Cloud Engineer

Role overview

As a Senior DevOps AWS Cloud Engineer at H1, you will help scale and support AWS-based cloud infrastructure and deployment pipelines. This is a hands-on role focused on automation, reliability, observability, and operational excellence in a fast-paced environment.

What you’ll do

• Automate and scale infrastructure provisioning using Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) to enable self-service for engineering teams.
• Maintain and improve CI/CD pipelines and deployment workflows across multiple services.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and ensure reliability (high availability, performance, and stability).
• Lead incident response and root cause analysis, collaborating to resolve infrastructure or deployment issues.
• Optimize cloud performance and cost using metrics and usage analysis.
• Evaluate and implement new DevOps tools/services to improve developer experience.
• Collaborate across teams on cloud best practices and knowledge sharing.
• Participate in a light on-call rotation for infrastructure-related needs.

Requirements

• 6+ years hands-on experience with AWS cloud infrastructure (or equivalent startup experience).
• Strong cloud platform experience, preferably AWS (Azure/GCP is a plus).
• Proven IaC expertise using Terraform and CloudFormation.
• Proficient in CI/CD pipeline design/automation using GitHub Actions and CircleCI.
• Basic understanding of Kubernetes; familiarity with Amazon EKS.
• Experience with monitoring and logging stacks such as Prometheus, Grafana, CloudWatch, ELK, OpenSearch.
• Proficient scripting in Python and Bash.
• Networking knowledge (HTTP/HTTPS/SSH/firewalls/VPN and related fundamentals).

Nice to have

• Prior experience related to security governance and policy building.
• Experience with Azure or GCP.
