Sr Developer - Front End

Role Overview

Senior Developer – Front End at Ulta Beauty (Credit Services). You will build and lead delivery of scalable front-end UI solutions, integrating with multiple data sources and supporting release, testing, and continuous improvements to the engineering process.

Responsibilities

• UI Development: Develop scalable, responsive UI for multiple screen sizes.
  • Use Node.js (with frameworks like Koa/Express), JavaScript (with React/Angular/Vue), HTML5, CSS3, and responsive web development.
  • Integrate front-end solutions with XML, JSON, and custom APIs.
  • Use LESS/SASS and Webpack bundling.
• Delivery Leadership: Work with 2–8 UI developers in an onshore/offshore model using Agile delivery.
• Development & Testing: Execute test scripts under supervision, record results, report issues, and understand testing as both validation and design improvement.
• Problem Management: Investigate system/process/service issues and help implement remedies and preventative measures.
• Release & Deployment: Use tools/techniques for release activities; administer recording/logging of activities and document technical work.
• Requirements Definition & Management: Identify, elicit, specify, and document functional, data, and nonfunctional requirements.
• Systems Integration: Assist with software builds and integration testing; diagnose and report failures clearly.
• Process/Tools Champion: Improve delivery methodology including atomic/modular design integration, Unit/End-to-End/BDD testing practices, API integration, build tools, accessibility, security best practices, CI, error logging, and performance optimization.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related.
• 5+ years front-end development experience.
• Includes:
  • 5+ years developing with ReactJS
  • 5+ years experience with NodeJS, JavaScript, CSS, and HTML5

Nice-to-haves (implied)

• Experience integrating enterprise UX standards and brand governance.
• Experience with accessibility and security best practices.

Location / Work Schedule

• Bolingbrook, IL (reports to HQ).
• Telecommute/remote up to 100%.
• Mon–Fri, 8:00 am–5:00 pm.

Salary

• $153,317 – $154,317 per year.
