Role Overview

Objectways is looking for an experienced Data Engineer to design, develop, and maintain modern data platforms that enable analytics, reporting, machine learning, and business operations.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines and ETL/ELT workflows
• Build and optimize data ingestion, transformation, and integration processes
• Develop and maintain data models, data lakes, and data warehouse solutions
• Collaborate with business stakeholders, analysts, and data scientists to support reporting and AI initiatives
• Implement data quality, governance, security, and monitoring frameworks
• Optimize data processing performance and cost efficiency
• Work with both structured and unstructured data from multiple enterprise systems
• Support cloud-based data platforms and modern analytics architectures

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience as a Data Engineer
• Strong SQL development and performance tuning skills
• Experience with Python, PySpark, or Scala
• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms, preferably AWS
• Experience building ETL/ELT pipelines with modern data engineering tools
• Experience with data warehouses such as Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery, Synapse, or Databricks
• Experience with Apache Spark and distributed data processing
• Knowledge of data governance, data quality, and security best practices

Preferred Qualifications

• Databricks, Delta Lake, or Lakehouse architectures
• Airflow, dbt, or similar orchestration tools
• Experience supporting AI/ML and analytics workloads
• Cloud certifications (AWS, Azure, or Databricks)
• Experience working in large enterprise environments
