About the role

Sr. Data Engineer (Hologram)

Own and evolve the data layer behind Hologram’s global IoT network—an infrastructure role that directly powers customer-facing performance and internal decision-making.

Responsibilities

Database design & management: Design, build, and maintain scalable, reliable databases.
ETL pipeline development: Build and maintain ETL pipelines with monitoring and alerts to quickly catch breakages.
Database reconstruction & simplification: Audit existing pipelines/models, remove unnecessary complexity, and refactor into clean, maintainable solutions incrementally.
Data modeling & transformation: Own and evolve dbt models with a focus on clean, well-documented, reusable datasets.
Analytics & reporting: Write expert SQL to surface business insights (e.g., customer usage and operational performance).
Business intelligence: Build and maintain dashboards/reports in Sigma.

Requirements (Must Haves)

5+ years in data engineering or analytics engineering.
