Sr. Data Analytics Engineer

Role overview

Sr. Data Analytics Engineer will design and deliver high-quality, performant data modeling and visualization/reporting solutions for cross-functional business units. You will help modernize Under Armour’s enterprise data platform so business teams can make better, more informed decisions.

Responsibilities

• Participate in the design, implementation, maintenance, and support of a modernized data platform.
• Build and maintain a modern data warehouse that is accurate, reliable, high-performing, and easy for business departments to access.
• Create dashboard and reporting solutions based on wireframes/designs and connect them to backend data models.
• Develop aggregate data models, dimension views, and fact tables.
• Manage data flows to keep dashboards aligned with business requirements.
• Perform data formatting, processing, and transformation using ETL tooling to support the foundation layer for dashboards and self-service reporting.
• Translate functional and technical requirements gathered with the business into reporting/visualization solutions.
• Own the end-to-end development lifecycle: requirements gathering → data transformation coding → report/dashboard design and creation.
• Troubleshoot data anomalies and provide daily support for the data warehouse and associated data marts.
• Coordinate with Enterprise Data Analysts, Data Platform Engineers, Data Governance, and IT on change management, performance, and access for global reporting.
• Improve data quality and data flow processes, and document work for peer reference and knowledge transfer.
• Educate and empower business teams toward a self-serve reporting model.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, or a related technical field.
• 5+ years of progressively responsible experience (as stated, trailing sentence fragment in the posting).
