Role Overview

Senior Data Analyst (Remote)

Join the Fee-for-Service (FFS) Operations team within the School Based Services (SBS) Center of Excellence (COE). You will combine data analytics, process improvement, and stakeholder partnership to access, interpret, and act on operational and reimbursement data.

Responsibilities

  • Business Intelligence & Visualization
    • Build and maintain dashboards and reports, with Power BI strongly preferred
    • Transform complex statistical findings into clear, persuasive narratives for leadership, client, and operational teams
  • Technical Automation & Data Engineering
    • Use Python, R, and Power Automate to build analytics pipelines and automated workflows
    • Use Jotform (or similar) to create front-end data collection interfaces that improve data quality at the source
    • Apply predictive analytics, anomaly detection, and statistical modeling to identify risks and opportunities
  • AI-Assisted Analytics & Productivity (GenAI)
    • Identify and implement AI-assisted opportunities in analytics and workflows (e.g., Copilot or similar)
    • Use AI to accelerate routine tasks such as summarization, documentation, and first-pass visuals/narratives
    • Validate AI outputs for accuracy/completeness; reproduce key calculations and maintain an auditable trail of assumptions/changes
    • Follow data privacy/security/compliance requirements when using AI (e.g., avoid PHI/PII in non-approved tools)
    • Partner with stakeholders to identify high-value, responsible AI adoption opportunities and help establish team standards/prompt patterns
  • Data Governance, Quality & Observability
    • Apply a “Trust but Verify” approach: high-fidelity cleaning, validation, and accuracy checks
    • Implement monitoring for data quality and lineage
    • Maintain exhaustive documentation of data logic, process flows, and metadata
  • Operational Excellence & Leadership
    • Drive reimbursement optimization using data-informed insights
    • Lead issue management for complex data discrepancies while maintaining quality standards
    • Act as a consultant: uncover the “why” behind data requests and ensure solutions solve the real business problem
    • Manage multiple priorities and provide proactive updates using Asana
    • Provide peer reviews/feedback for junior analysts on technical accuracy and presentation clarity

Required Skills

  • Power BI and SAP Advanced Reporting (or comparable enterprise BI platforms)
  • Python or R, plus Power Automate for analytics/automation/data quality workflows
  • Jotform or similar tool for front-end data collection interfaces

Nice-to-Haves (Inferred/Implied)

  • Experience with predictive analytics, anomaly detection, statistical modeling
  • Experience implementing AI-assisted analytics with governance and auditability
  • Strong documentation, data lineage/observability, and stakeholder communication skills
