Sr Data Analyst

Role Overview

The Senior Data Analyst translates and programs large volumes of data into actionable business insights. You will partner with business units (e.g., Finance and HR) and help deliver self-service reporting while promoting data governance so analytics outputs are accurate and trusted.

Responsibilities

• Acquire, merge, and transform data from a centralized data warehouse.
• Partner with business units to understand operational needs and recommend compliant solutions.
• Translate business data needs and work with data engineers/architects to automate data delivery and reduce redundancy.
• Help develop and maintain data governance (documentation, standards, ongoing operations).
• Create auditing and validation processes between source systems and the centralized warehouse.
• Build, test, and deliver reports and extracts from the data warehouse using BI tools.
• Investigate and apply best practices to solve technical problems.
• Mentor and coach the broader Analytics Delivery team; contribute code when needed.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Math, Business, or Information Systems.
• 5+ years experience in a Business Analyst or Data Analyst role.
• SQL and strong data analysis skills.
• Familiarity with data governance concepts.
• Experience translating complex technical concepts; ability to work with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Nice to Have

• Healthcare provider experience (5+ years preferred).
• Epic Clarity Certification (required).
• Financial reporting experience.
• BI tools: Tableau or Power BI.
