Sr Data Analyst

Senior Data Analyst role focused on turning complex data into clear, actionable insights that drive business outcomes.

Role Overview

Develop scalable analytics assets and support BI infrastructure
Serve as a primary Power BI expert and champion analytics adoption
Partner directly with executive stakeholders on challenging data problems
Build and maintain analytics solutions using modern data/BI tooling

Responsibilities

Power BI administration: workspace governance, access management, deployment practices, and platform standards
Power BI development: architect and publish trusted datasets, semantic models, and dashboards (DAX, Power Query)
Analytics standards: promote naming conventions, documentation, quality checks, and release practices
Analytics initiatives: from problem framing to delivery—quantify value, design robust analyses, and communicate recommendations
Databricks + analytics products: build solutions using Databricks, dbt, custom scripting, and BI tools
Automation & workflows: create performant Databricks workflows (notebooks, jobs, SQL Warehouses)
Collaboration with Data Engineering: define upstream requirements and ensure analytics are based on reliable data
Analysis quality & governance: validation, experiment/study design, sensitivity checks, reproducibility, versioning, documentation
KPI ownership: define and monitor KPIs tied to operational reporting and business objectives

Required Skills

4–8 years in analytics roles, including 2+ years leading projects with cross-functional business stakeholders
2+ years administering Power BI or Microsoft Fabric, including governance, permissions, deployment practices, and user support
Proven ability to deliver analytics in complex/ambiguous environments with measurable business impact
Strong Microsoft Fabric/Power BI capabilities: data modeling, DAX, Power Query, semantic models, calculation groups, deployment pipelines, workspace governance

Nice-to-Haves / Additional Notes

Remote hires must travel to headquarters in Ankeny, IA for orientation (company paid on first day)
Company is not considering applicants requiring immigration sponsorship (work authorization) in the US

Compensation & Benefits

Salary range: $85,000–$90,000 plus 10% bonus
