Role overview
Sr. Data Analyst role focused on the intersection of data, healthcare, and business strategy. You’ll turn large, complex datasets into actionable insights that improve business performance and healthcare outcomes, partnering across business, engineering, product, and IT.
Responsibilities
- Analyze large and complex datasets to identify trends, patterns, and actionable insights
- Develop and maintain data models to ensure accuracy, consistency, and integrity across sources
- Create and automate dashboards and reports using modern BI tools, primarily Looker
- Translate business objectives into data-driven solutions with stakeholders
- Use statistical analysis and machine learning techniques to solve business problems
- Partner with IT/engineering to improve data pipelines and data quality
- Mentor junior analysts and help build a strong data culture and best practices
- Evolve analytics from descriptive reporting to more predictive/proactive insight generation
- Continuously evaluate new tools, technologies, and methodologies in analytics
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in data analytics, business intelligence, or related fields
- Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field (Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or related)
- Strong proficiency in SQL for querying and managing large datasets
- Experience with data visualization tools such as Looker, Tableau, or Power BI
- Strong understanding of data modeling, statistical analysis, and data visualization principles
- Proficiency in Python (preferred) or R
- Experience with cloud-based platforms: Snowflake, AWS, GCP, or Azure
- Strong communication and storytelling skills for technical and non-technical audiences
- Excellent problem-solving and attention to detail; ability to manage multiple priorities
Nice to have
- Healthcare data experience, especially healthcare claims data
