Sr Data Analyst

Role Overview

Amsive is seeking a Senior Data Analyst to help build the next generation of their analytics platform in Microsoft Fabric. This is not a traditional reporting role—you’ll design semantic models, develop scalable analytics, build AI-enabled data experiences, and improve how business users consume data.

Responsibilities

• Semantic Modeling & Analytics Design
  • Develop and maintain Power BI semantic models for enterprise reporting and self-service analytics
  • Create scalable star schemas, measures, calculated columns, hierarchies, perspectives, and Row-Level Security
  • Optimize models for performance, usability, and governance
  • Build reusable, governed metrics and shared business logic
• Microsoft Fabric & Data Engineering
  • Build analytics solutions using Microsoft Fabric Lakehouse technologies
  • Write/optimize SQL, Spark SQL, and PySpark notebooks
  • Partner with Data Engineers to improve data quality, performance, and reliability
  • Troubleshoot pipelines, semantic models, and reporting issues
• AI & Modern Analytics
  • Design AI-enabled analytical experiences using Microsoft Fabric Data Agents and Azure AI
  • Produce structured outputs (e.g., JSON) for internal web and AI-powered experiences
  • Evaluate emerging AI capabilities and recommend practical uses
  • Use AI-assisted development tools to improve speed, quality, and automation
• Operational Intelligence
  • Build dashboards to monitor Fabric capacity utilization, refresh performance, workload health, pipeline execution, and platform performance
  • Enable proactive identification of performance bottlenecks and operational issues
  • Help establish monitoring standards for enterprise analytics

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical field (Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, or related)
• 3–5 years designing analytical solutions on modern cloud data platforms
• Strong experience with Microsoft Fabric and Microsoft Power BI (or comparable enterprise analytics platforms)
