About the role

Role Overview

Senior Business Analyst on Privia Health’s Medical Economics team, delivering high-value analysis and reporting that supports strategic decisions for internal teams and payers. You will collaborate independently across Business Intelligence, IT, Quality, Risk Adjustment, Operations, and Finance to translate business needs into analytical deliverables.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver production reporting and ad hoc analyses based on evolving business requirements.
  • Support and optimize analytics across business needs including Flow of Funds, reporting, and analytics.
  • Assist with market-level incentive payment distribution (calculating bonus distributions and coordinating distribution with Population Health leadership, Payer Partnerships, Accounting, BI, and Finance).
  • Maintain a suite of performance evaluations and executive-level leading indicator analyses for Value-Based Contracts.
  • Convert business requirements into technical specifications and build scalable analytical solutions across structured and unstructured data.
  • Partner with Data Engineering and Product to ensure data availability.
  • Write SQL queries to address data warehouse quality issues and implement structured testing and data validation processes.
  • Gather end-user feedback and drive development of new reporting tools and analyses.
  • Identify opportunities from industry/regulatory/technical analytics trends to improve data products and reporting.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of experience in analytics, business intelligence, finance, or a related quantitative function; able to lead projects end-to-end from scoping to stakeholder communication.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field preferred (Economics, Finance, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, etc.) or equivalent experience.
  • High proficiency in SQL, including writing efficient, optimized queries for large-scale datasets.
  • Strong verbal and written communication with ability to manage executive stakeholders.
  • Data modeling experience.
  • Experience with version control (e.g., Git) and code deployment preferred.
  • Healthcare analytics experience preferred (claims, EMR, lab data).
  • Python experience for analysis and reporting.
