Sr. Analyst, Business Intelligence

Role Overview

Senior BI Analyst focused on data visualization, self-service analytics, and data governance.

Responsibilities

• Meet with clinical and operational leaders to understand information needs and recommend the best ways to visualize data.
• Combine existing data with new data to build data sources/data marts supporting analytics requests across the enterprise.
• Use BI tools (Tableau or Power BI) to create and deliver interactive visualizations that communicate insights for executive reporting and deep-dive analytics.
• Stitch and integrate data from data lake, data warehouse, and external sources to produce analytics-ready datasets.
• Partner with business units to understand operational needs, recommend solutions, and ensure compliance with analytics standards.
• Develop processes/tools to automate effective data delivery and reduce redundancy and resource usage.
• Participate in enterprise Data Governance by documenting standards and maintaining adherence to ensure reporting accuracy and trustworthiness.
• Support the Data Warehouse team as needed by performing ETL and validation to keep the BI operation effective.
• Manage BI platform upgrades/updates and ensure data sources and existing BI assets are kept current.
• Train and mentor others on the team to the same level of BI capability and visualization expertise.

Requirements

• Demonstrated expertise in Data Visualization, including industry certification and/or recognized expertise within the organization/community.
• Ability to integrate and transform data from data lake/warehouse/external sources into usable analytics datasets.
• Proficiency with Tableau or Power BI to deliver highly effective, story-driven visualizations.
• Active engagement with Data Governance practices (documentation, standards, and ongoing maintenance).
• Ability to support ETL/validation activities as needed for BI effectiveness.

Nice-to-Haves

• Experience designing self-service BI tools for broad organizational use.
• Experience managing BI platform lifecycle (upgrades, updates, impact assessment).
