Sr. AI Engineer (Remote, Richmond, VA)

Senior AI Engineer needed for a remote role requiring presence in the Eastern Time Zone (occasional onsite visits in Richmond, VA).

Role overview

You will apply advanced analytics to develop and deploy AI solutions across clinical and business settings, including LLM-based agentic/automation capabilities. You’ll work with diverse datasets (including unstructured data), build predictive models, and ensure ethical, reliable deployment. You will also support and mentor junior engineers.

Responsibilities

• Develop predictive models and advanced analytics solutions for clinical/business environments
• Build and deploy LLM / GenAI systems, including RAG, fine-tuning, prompt engineering, and model development
• Design and integrate REST APIs for model consumption
• Work with unstructured data and NLP technologies
• Deploy AI solutions in production with attention to ethics and reliability
• Mentor junior team members

Requirements

• 8+ years of strong ML/AI experience with proven production work
• Hands-on expertise in Python and SQL
• Experience with LLMs/GenAI including RAG, fine-tuning, prompt engineering, model development, and deployment

• Must be located in the Eastern Time Zone
