Role Overview

Pomeroy is hiring a Data Analytics Engineer for a remote contract-to-hire opportunity. The role focuses on SQL development and building BI dashboards and reports to turn complex data into actionable insights.

Responsibilities

• Write and optimize SQL queries to extract, transform, and analyze data.
• Design, build, and maintain interactive BI dashboards and reports using Sigma.
• Translate business requirements into analytics and reporting solutions.
• Analyze data to identify trends, patterns, and insights.
• Partner with business and technical stakeholders to understand reporting needs.
• Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and integrity across dashboards/reports.
• Troubleshoot and improve existing queries, dashboards, and reporting processes.
• Communicate findings to technical and non-technical audiences.

Requirements

• Experience as a Data Analytics Engineer, Analytics Engineer, BI Engineer, or similar role.
• Strong proficiency in SQL and experience with complex datasets.
• Hands-on experience building BI dashboards.
• Solid understanding of data analytics, business intelligence, and data visualization.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration.
• Ability to work independently in a fully remote environment.

Nice to Have

• Experience building in Sigma (explicitly called out as a plus).
