About the role
Role Overview
The Solutions Engineering Architect will design and guide enterprise-scale cloud solutions that support digital transformation and business growth. You will partner with architecture, engineering, security, and business teams to create scalable, secure, and cost-effective cloud strategies, influencing cloud adoption, modernization, and architectural standards across large environments.
Responsibilities
- Design, govern, and evolve cloud-native architectures across infrastructure, data, security, and application domains
- Define architectures for compute, networking, data, identity, and security
- Translate business objectives into scalable, secure, and cost-effective cloud solutions
- Collaborate with engineering and security teams to set technical strategies and implementation approaches
- Lead cloud migration, modernization, and platform consolidation initiatives
- Establish architectural standards, best practices, and governance frameworks
- Evaluate cloud technologies and recommend solutions for business and long-term sustainability
- Produce architecture artifacts (e.g., documentation, diagrams) and lead architecture reviews
- Balance priorities across time-to-market, cost optimization, security, reliability, and maintainability
- Support adoption of containerized, serverless, and managed cloud services
- Promote FinOps and cloud cost transparency/optimization, working with engineering and finance
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a related technical field
- 8+ years in software engineering, cloud architecture, or solution architecture
- Deep expertise designing cloud-native solutions on at least one major platform
- Strong knowledge of cloud networking, identity management, and security
- Experience leading cloud migration/modernization/enterprise platform transformation
- Knowledge of containerization, serverless, and managed data services
- Ability to create architecture documentation and present to senior/executive audiences
- Proven ability to lead architecture reviews and influence technical direction
- Strong communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills
- Cloud architecture certification from AWS, Azure, or GCP
Nice to Haves
- Multi-cloud or hybrid cloud experience
- Familiarity with enterprise architecture frameworks such as TOGAF
- Experience in regulated industries with strict compliance requirements
- Experience driving FinOps and cloud cost optimization
Compensation
- $175,000–$200,000 annual salary (based on experience and qualifications)
