About the role
Role Overview
Solutions Engineer (Software Development) – Palantir Foundry (W2 contract, Remote) for the IT Central Foundry COE team. You will design, build, and deploy data-driven solutions using Palantir Foundry to support digital transformation for a Tier 1 automotive supplier.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain Palantir Foundry pipelines, code repos, ontology objects, and operational components such as dashboards, AI Agents, and AIP workflows
- Build custom Foundry workflows to aggregate and analyze data from diverse sources (e.g., ERP, MES/shop-floor, financial, program management, engineering systems)
- Translate complex business problems into scalable Foundry-based solutions in collaboration with cross-functional teams
- Deliver solutions through agile development cycles (rapid prototyping, MVP creation to production systems)
- Support rollout of new Foundry features and upgrades across global operations
- Provide technical expertise and training to end-users to enable effective analytics, reporting, and AI/ML
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, Statistics, Economics, or related
- 2+ years experience working with Palantir Foundry
- 5+ years experience in Big Data / Data Engineering / Data Analytics and ETL (e.g., Snowflake, Databricks, Power BI)
- Strong proficiency with Python, R, Spark SQL, and data modeling
- Strong problem-solving and ability to work independently and with teams
- Excellent communication with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Familiarity with Agile, DevOps, and tools such as Git, Docker, or Kubernetes
Nice-to-Haves
- Master’s degree in a relevant discipline
- Experience with ERP/PLM/engineering or corporate systems in large-scale manufacturing
- Prior experience as a Forward Deployed Engineer or similar client-facing technical role
- Ability to speak multiple languages
