About the role
Role Overview
Solutions Architect for a federal government contracting growth team. You will collaborate with capture, business development, proposal, and pricing teams to identify, qualify, and develop technical solutions for business opportunities.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with capture, business development, proposal, and pricing teams to identify and qualify new opportunities
- Architect, design, and develop end-to-end solutions aligned to customer requirements and business goals
- Lead technical proposal development (write, review, and refine solution approaches)
- Perform technical assessments based on RFQ/RFI inputs and recommend improvements to customer architectures
- Develop proof of concepts (PoCs) to validate feasibility and benefits
- Ensure solutions are scalable, cost-effective, and meet performance, security, and reliability requirements
- Track emerging technologies and industry trends to keep solutions innovative
- Maintain stakeholder and partner relationships to support solution delivery
- Provide technical leadership across cross-functional teams throughout the proposal lifecycle
- Develop basis of estimate for RFQs and partner with pricing to deliver pricing volumes and rationales
- Contribute to strategic planning and growth strategy development
Requirements
- 3-5+ years of experience as a Solutions Architect (or similar), preferably in government contracting
- Proven experience designing and implementing cloud-based solutions with AWS, Azure, or GCP
- Strong solution architecture fundamentals (scalability, security, performance optimization)
- Experience with containerization, CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps methodologies
- Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/IT or related field (Master’s preferred)
Nice-to-haves
- Azure Certified Solutions Architect and/or TOGAF (or similar)
- Knowledge of AI/ML model development process
- Remote role with occasional travel (up to 25%)
